Job summary

Recruit Inc in Melbourne is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join an on-site machining and line boring team. The role involves manual machining, mechanical assembly, and occasional Mig welding, with travel to multiple sites around Victoria. You will report to the MD and must be physically fit for manual handling.

Ideal candidates have experience in line boring and equipment maintenance, with a willingness to learn new skills and work across site locations in a non-smoking environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with manual machining, assembling and disassembling of machinery.
• Current driver’s license and own transport.
• Welding skills (Mig) preferred.
• Willingness to travel around VIC and work on-site at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with line boring and maintenance on-site.
• Carry out manual machining, assembly and disassembly of machinery.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled mechanical fitter or mechanic with Manual Machinist skills to join a successful On- Site Machining & Line Boring Company in Melbourne.

We are looking for an experienced applicant with Machining skills and mechanical assembly experience plus ideally Mig Welding skills who can assist with Line Boring, and maintenance on various equipment on-site.

This new position will involve a variety of tasks, so it is necessary that you are flexible with your skills. Reporting to the MD you must have a high attention to detail as well as experience with Manual machining, assembling and disassembling of machinery.

Travel is a part of the role and a non-smoker is preferred as most sites are non smoking.

Role requirements

• Drivers licence & own transport

• Physically fit to conduct manual handling
