Job summary

Chrome Engineering in Maryborough, QLD, is seeking a hands-on Machine Operator to support linishing, honing, grinding and CNC grinding tasks. The role is Monday to Friday, with early starts on Wednesdays, and offers overtime and a pathway to full-time permanent employment after probation.

Machine Operator – Linishing/Honing/Grinding

Chrome Engineering has been serving Australia wide for over 50 years, specialising in Mining & Industrial Engineering services. Operating out of Moonaboola Industrial Estate in Maryborough QLD.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic & reliable Machine Operator to join our supportive and collaborative team.

• Monday to Friday position, 5 days a week
• Normal Hours are 7am to 3pm with 6:30am start on Wednesdays
• Additional OT available
• Casual start with the opportunity for fulltime permanent employment, pending a probation period

• A can-do attitude and flexible approach towards work duties and tasks
• Micrometer measuring experience or willingness to learn
• A skilled, hands-on individual who ismechanically minded
• Willing to learn linishing & polishing

General Responsibilities:

• Operation of machinery
• Maintain the quality system as directed by the Quality Assurance Team
• Responsible for the daily maintenance of machine being operated
• To perform work indicated on job cards
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health & Safety
• Undertake all work in accordance with Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Identify and report any non-conformances to the relevant supervisor on work in progress

Requirements:

• Willingness to learn operating a cylindrical grinding machine, linishing and micrometer measuring.
• History of safe working practices
• Knowledge of machine tool safety
