Job summary

ASAP Labour Hire Pty Ltd – Clayton South VIC is seeking a Machine Operator for a contract role in a food packaging environment. You will operate vertical and horizontal filling machines, pack raw materials and weigh ingredients, while keeping equipment clean and maintained.

This is a 4-day work week with on-the-job training in a small team. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of production experience in food or pharma, familiarity with filling/forming/sealing machinery, and comfort using LCD

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience in a production environment (Food or Pharma).
• Machine operating experience with filling, forming or sealing.
• Experience using LCD touchscreens.
• Willingness to take instructions and work as part of a team.
• Ability to work independently when required and maintain safety standards.
• Australian citizen or permanent resident with full working rights.

About the role

Our client is a reputable contract food packing business based in Clayton seeking packaging Machine Operators to run vertical and horizontal filling machines. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will operate packaging machinery and support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

Machine Operation including form, fill and seal machines on vertical or horizontal packaging machines

Packing of raw materials

Weighing of ingredients

Cleaning and maintaining manufacturing equipment

About you

Minimum 2-3 years experience within a production environment in the Food Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical industry

Machine operating experience with filling, forming or sealing

Previous experience with LCD touchscreens

A willingness to take instructions

Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently

Safety consciousness and ability to work in a busy environment

Full working rights (Australian Citizen or Permanent resident)
