Job summary

Synergie Australia is seeking a Machine Operator for the afternoon shift in Prestons, NSW. The role involves operating machinery for processing steel and reinforcement bars, using bench and off coil equipment, and employing overhead cranes to move materials within a busy fabrication environment.

Ideal candidates will have crane loader experience, be physically fit for manual handling up to 20 kg, and demonstrate reliability with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy manufacturing environments.
• Overhead crane experience is highly advantageous.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks (up to 20 kg).
• Own transport is essential.
• The ability to work efficiently in a small team.
• A commitment to punctuality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery for processing steel and reinforcement bars.
• Use a manual bench, off coil machinery, benders and shearers.
• Utilise overhead cranes to load and move mesh and steel products.
• Perform manual handling of materials (up to 20 kg).
• Maintain general housekeeping and safety standards.
• Bring experience in heavy manufacturing environments.
• Overhead crane experience is advantageous.
• Ensure punctual and reliable shift attendance.
• Coordinate with a small team to meet production targets.

Synergie has partnered with a highly respected manufacturer and processor of steel products, servicing the civil, construction, and industrial sectors. Due to consistent growth, we are seeking Machine Operators with crane loader experience to join their Prestons-based team on Afternoon Shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating machinery for processing steel and reinforcement bars.
• Using a manual bench, off coil machinery, benders and shearers.
• Utilising overhead cranes to load and move mesh and steel products.
• Manual handling of materials (up to 20kg).
