Job summary

People2U is seeking skilled Machine Operators for Melbourne’s Bayside and southeastern suburbs. You’ll operate machinery in rubber and polymer production, perform mixing and bagging tasks, and ensure quality with precise stamping and safety practices.

This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with some weekend work and potential for ongoing casual-to-permanent placement. Candidates should have prior manufacturing machine operation experience, a valid LF forklift licence, a current Police

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing setting is essential.
• Valid Forklift LF licence is required.
• Current Police Check and a valid Driver’s Licence are mandatory.
• Proven time management, reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Safety-focused mindset with attention to detail.
• Able to work both as a team member and independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery used in the production of rubber and polymer plastic products.
• Mixing and bagging carbon black and synthetic materials.
• Place correct stamping tool to identify extruded rubber.
• Monitor machinery and mix compound ingredients.
• Safely handle knives for rubber cutting.
• Remove creases and re-roll liners.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Contribute to a productive and positive team environment.

We’re seeking skilled and reliable Machine Operators to join a reputable manufacturing company located in Melbourne’s Bayside and southeastern suburbs. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing work in a stable, team-oriented environment.

Schedule: Mon - Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Payrate: $33.93 per hour

Mixing and Sheeting Department

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery used in the production of rubber and polymer plastic products.
• Mixing and bagging carbon black and synthetic materials to produce rubber.
• Place correct stamping tool to identify what rubber has been extruded.
• Monitor machinery, mix compound ingredients.
• Safely handle knives for rubber cutting.
• Remove creases, and re-roll liners.
• Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Contribute to a productive and positive team environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in machine operation within a manufacturing setting.
• Valid Forklift Licence (LF)
• Current Police Check and Driver’s Licence.
• Strong time management, reliability, and work ethic.
• Safety-focused with strong attention to detail.
• Team player who can also work independently.
