Job summary

OnSite Recruitment is seeking a Machine Operator on a casual basis to join our team in Thomastown, VIC 3074. The role runs Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 2.45pm, with a hands-on focus in manufacturing and logistics operations.

You will run and monitor machinery, ensuring targets are met while upholding safety and quality standards. This hands-on role requires prior operator experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work reliably in a busy environment with a flexible casual

Qualifications

• Experience as a Machine Operator or similar in manufacturing or production.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
• Reliability and punctuality with flexibility for casual hours.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow supervisor instructions.
• Proficiency in basic English (written and spoken) for safety and operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing machinery in line with SOPs.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report malfunctions.
• Ensure production output meets quality standards and specs.
• Load and unload materials and finished products as required.
• Maintain a clean, organised work area complying with safety rules.
• Record production data and complete relevant paperwork accurately.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.
• Respond to supervisor instructions promptly and support teammates.

This is a hands-on operational role that forms a critical part of our manufacturing and logistics operations. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for running and monitoring machinery, ensuring production targets are met whilst maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. This role offers flexibility typical of casual employment whilst providing the opportunity to be part of a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is Monday to Friday 6.30am-2.45pm.

Key responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring manufacturing machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any equipment malfunctions or concerns to supervisory staff
• Ensuring all production output meets quality standards and specifications
• Loading and unloading materials and finished products as required
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Recording production data and completing relevant paperwork accurately
• Following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
• Responding promptly to instructions from supervisors and team leads
• Supporting team members and contributing to a collaborative work environment

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar manufacturing or production role
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures in an industrial environment
• Ability to work accurately and pay close attention to detail
