Job summary

My Byte in Melbourne, a hands-on Mac repair specialist, is seeking an experienced Mac Technician for its Fitzroy service team. The role focuses on diagnosing, servicing and repairing Apple Mac hardware, including warranty work, in a hands-on environment.

You will join a small technical team, taking ownership of repair workloads and providing escalation support while maintaining service standards and documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Mac hardware repair experience is mandatory.
• At least 2+ years of professional Mac repair experience.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve Mac hardware faults independently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Experience with an Apple Authorised Service Provider or Apple Store is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service and repair Apple Mac hardware.
• Perform Apple warranty and out-of-warranty repairs.
• Manage your repair workload and document service details.
• Assist with complex diagnoses and escalations.
• Share knowledge with other technicians.
• Monitor outstanding jobs and turnaround times.
• Assist with customer escalations when required.
• Maintain Apple/AASP service standards and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve service processes and efficiency.
