💼 Company: Azooa — 100% Australian Owned and Operated

🚀 About Azooa

Azooa is a proudly Australian-owned and operated digital innovator, delivering cutting‑edge technology solutions and support to Federal Government agencies across the ACT.

We’re not just another consulting firm — we’re a modern digital partner helping government teams adopt, integrate, and scale the latest cloud and AI technologies safely and effectively. From secure M365 environments to AI‑driven productivity platforms like Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azooa brings deep expertise, local talent, and a passion for real results.

We’re currently responding to multiple RFQs and Statements of Work (SOWs) from Commonwealth clients and are seeking expressions of interest from skilled professionals ready to be part of something big — transforming how Australia’s public sector works with the power of AI.

If you love blending technical excellence, human impact, and innovation, you’ll fit right in at Azooa. 🇦🇺✨

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced M365 Copilot Engineer to help deliver a high‑profile Copilot Support & Capability Uplift Program for a Federal Government department.

This is not a back‑office support job — it’s a hands‑on, people‑facing, impact‑driven role where you’ll directly support senior executives (VIPs) as they adopt Microsoft 365 Copilot in their daily work.

You’ll help executives unlock productivity with Copilot, troubleshoot issues fast, write easy‑to‑follow knowledge articles, and mentor ICT support staff so that the department’s capability grows long after the pilot concludes.

This role is perfect for a seasoned Microsoft 365 professional who enjoys connecting technology with people, thrives under pressure, and genuinely wants to make a difference in the public sector.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be the face of Copilot for some of the most senior leaders in the organisation. Expect variety, challenge, and the satisfaction of seeing real adoption results.

  • Deliver high‑touch, white‑glove Copilot support to senior executives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams Copilot.
  • Ensure all incidents and requests are logged and tracked through ServiceNow.
  • Translate complex AI features into clear, practical use cases that suit each executive’s workflow.
  • Provide 1:1 Copilot coaching and mini “quick‑wins” sessions that drive real productivity outcomes.
  • Turn common issues and solutions into clear, reusable Knowledge Base (KB) articles.
  • Collaborate with the ServiceNow Knowledge Engineer to keep KBs current and easy to find.
  • Follow Knowledge‑Centered Support (KCS) best practices — short, accurate, actionable articles.
  • Mentor ICT support teams to handle Copilot‑related issues independently.
  • Deliver short capability sessions or shadowing opportunities.
  • Help assess baseline skills and measure uplift through structured learning activities.
  • Provide data and insights to monthly usage and value reports.
  • Track trends, pain points, and success stories to inform ongoing service design.
  • Suggest improvements to support processes, training, and user experience.
What You’ll Deliver
  • Fast, effective support for VIPs using Microsoft 365 Copilot.
  • Accurate and well‑written knowledge articles in ServiceNow.
  • Practical, hands‑on training and mentoring for ICT staff.
  • Clear, concise input for monthly performance and adoption reports.
  • A lasting improvement in the department’s Copilot readiness and capability.
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years working with Microsoft 365, ideally in a government or large enterprise setting.
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot or similar AI productivity tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills across the M365 suite, including Entra ID, Teams, and Exchange.
  • Proven ability to deliver executive‑level technical support with discretion and care.
  • Experience with ServiceNow (incident and knowledge modules).
  • Strong written communication — you can turn technical language into plain English.
  • Confident stakeholder engagement and ability to build trust fast.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS‑102, AI‑900, SC‑900, MD‑102).
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and crafting effective Copilot prompts.
  • Knowledge of AI governance and data security in the Australian Government context.
  • Experience training or mentoring ICT support teams.
  • Ability to analyse support data and spot trends or recurring themes.
The Opportunity

This 3‑month pilot project is part of a national effort to introduce Microsoft 365 Copilot into Federal Government workplaces.

It’s a rare chance to:

  • Work directly with senior government leaders.
  • Be part of a small, high‑performing digital team.
  • Shape how AI‑powered productivity tools are adopted in the public sector.

If the project is extended (and it likely will be), high‑performing team members will have opportunities to continue into Phase 2 delivery roles or other Azooa engagements with Commonwealth agencies.
