Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking an Analyst in Australia’s Mergers & Acquisitions team. You will contribute to strategy development and end-to-end execution for mid-cap clients, with emphasis on sell-side mandates.

Collaboration with product and sector specialists, and support for senior bankers on live deals and client discussions, are key aspects of the role. You will build advanced financial models, create client materials and participate in fast-paced, mentorship-rich environments with formal training

Qualifications

• 1+ years in an investment banking front office or related due diligence role
• Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance and/or related field
• Understanding of the transaction cycle and execution orientation
• Impeccable communication skills with senior professionals and clients
• Self-directed, highly motivated and able to work independently

Responsibilities

• Execute transactions: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation and liaison with clients and advisers
• Collaborate with J.P. Morgan product and sector teams
• Build and use complex financial models, perform valuation and analytics
• Draft presentations for management, boards and clients
• Create memorandums and strategic client materials for M&A or dialogue
• Keep updated on market developments and target client base dynamics
