Job summary

J.P. Morgan's Investment Banking team in Melbourne is seeking an Associate to contribute to origination and execution of mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and strategic advisory for General Industrials clients.

You will work with senior bankers, lead workstreams, and deliver innovative solutions to leading Australian corporates. Join a global leader in financial services, collaborating with product partners and cross-functional teams to support client relationships and drive business

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
3+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or related field.
Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

Support the execution of M&A, equity and debt capital markets, and strategic advisory transactions.
Develop and review financial models, valuation analyses, and client presentations.
Conduct company, industry, and market research.
Coordinate transaction processes and due diligence activities.
Work closely with clients, external advisers, and internal product teams.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Contribute to business development and client coverage initiatives.
