Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Sydney is seeking a department head reporting to the Director of Outlets to lead daily restaurant operations and drive exceptional guest experiences. You will develop and engage the team, solve problems, and deliver results with a people-, product-, and profit-focused approach.

The ideal candidate has 3 years' leadership in a luxury restaurant or high-volume hotel setting, a collaborative style, and a keen eye for luxury detail.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in a restaurant leadership role in a 5* hotel or leading restaurant with a high focus on quality whilst operating at high volumes
• A leadership style that is authentic, engaging and strategic, with focus on business priorities
• Excellent communication and guest service focus

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong operational presence across all meal serving periods to ensure service standards and guest experience
• Provide leadership, development, support, coaching and feedback for the team
• Cultivate a culture that encourages people to connect and thrive while aligning with restaurant goals
• Drive performance by setting metrics, benchmarking, and adopting industry trends
• Be involved with talent acquisition to attract, select and retain top talent
• Develop strong internal relationships across the hotel to support restaurant success
• Manage labour and operating expenses through scheduling, budgeting, and menu planning
