Job summary

Capella Sydney, a luxury hotel set in a heritage-listed building, seeks a friendly Restaurant Host to welcome breakfast guests and manage reservations with care. You will deliver personalised, intuitive service, take orders, seat guests, and collaborate with culinary and service teams to ensure a seamless dining experience across outlets.

Excellent spoken and written English, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant, luxury hotel or premium hospitality venue.
• Experience as a Restaurant Host or Food & Beverage Attendant is highly regarded.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and guest experiences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, engaging personality.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised, intuitive and engaging service that exceeds guest expectations.
• Welcome guests warmly and professionally, ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver service in a professional and timely manner.
• Deliver personalised, intuitive and engaging service that exceeds guest expectations and creates memorable dining experiences.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, guest preferences and seating arrangements for breakfast operations.
• Build genuine guest connections by anticipating needs and recognising returning guests whenever possible.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of food and beverage offerings, dietary requirements, hotel facilities and current promotions.
• Present menus confidently, answer guest enquiries and make appropriate recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
