Job summary

Hyatt Hotel Canberra is seeking a diligent Housekeeping Administrator to support daily operations, coordinate guest requests and maintain accurate room status. You will collaborate with Front Office, Engineering and Housekeeping teams to deliver Hyatt’s renowned guest experiences in an iconic heritage setting.

The role emphasizes strong organisational and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Opera PMS/HotSOS and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Housekeeping or hotel administration, preferably in a luxury environment.
• Experience using Opera PMS, HotSOS or similar hotel systems.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• High attention to detail and excellent time management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Housekeeping Office operations, including room allocations and guest requests.
• Monitor Opera PMS and HotSOS to ensure accurate room status and timely maintenance requests.
• Coordinate VIP arrivals, guest amenities, rollaway beds, baby cots, laundry and special requests.
• Maintain the Lost Property register and handle belongings per procedures.
• Prepare daily allocation sheets, operational reports and roster updates.
• Work with Front Office, Engineering and Housekeeping leaders to ensure rooms are prepared efficiently.
