Job summary

Bunnings is seeking an Investigator in Loss Prevention to join our team across South Australia. You’ll conduct investigations into theft, fraud and policy breaches, gathering evidence from CCTV and transaction data while collaborating with store teams and external partners to drive outcomes.

You will analyze patterns, prepare reports and help shape preventative strategies across the network, balancing field work with desktop analysis and maintaining confidentiality throughout.

Qualifications

• Experience in investigations, loss prevention, law enforcement or a related field (retail experience highly regarded)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and risks
• Confidence working with data, reports and supporting technology to inform investigations
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated leadership capability, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive positive outcomes
• A high level of discretion and commitment to confidentiality
• Flexibility to travel as required

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations into theft, fraud and policy breaches across stores and operations
• Gather and analyse evidence including CCTV, transaction data and incident reports
• Engage with store teams and stakeholders to support investigations and provide clear outcomes
• Identify patterns, trends and risks to inform preventative strategies
• Prepare high-quality reports and documentation within required timeframes
• Support liaison with external partners, including law enforcement where required
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tools and ways of working
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism and integrity at all times
