Job summary

We seek experienced property claims professionals who can drive timely settlements, assess onsite losses, and collaborate with specialists to deliver superior customer outcomes.

You will manage a portfolio, handle onsite assessments, and contribute to indemnity and recovery decisions while maintaining robust records and policy

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a portfolio of work and driving timely outcomes.
• Completion of onsite strata assessments and determining losses.
• Strong research and investigative abilities with negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of property claims law and jurisdictional issues.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of work and collaborating with specialists to drive settlements.
• Conduct onsite strata assessments and confirm extent, cause and nature of losses.
• Gather information and evidence to make indemnity and recovery determinations.
• Formulate scope of works and complete files per internal protocols.
• Compile reports and maintain records; interpret policies and provide recommendations.

Desired Skills and Experience

What your new job looks like

Day to day you will be managing a portfolio of work, using your technical skills and expertise to collaborate with specialists and drive a timely outcome and settlement.

• Active involvement in developing and implementing assessing processes that drive an outstanding CHU customer experience
• Completion of onsite strata assessments, confirming extent, cause and nature of losses
• Collation of information and evidence to make determinations (including indemnity and recovery)
• Formulation of scope of works as appropriate
• Settlement and completion of files in accordance with internal protocols
• Compilation of reporting and maintenance of records
• Policy interpretation and provision of recommendations

We'd love to meet you…..

Especially if you can talk to us about your:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent knowledge
• Minimum of 3 years of property claims handling experience / 3 years Loss Adjusting
• Experience with commercial and catastrophe claims
• Research and investigative abilities; negotiating, conflict resolution and persuasive abilities
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, including large-group presentation skills
• A full driver's licence and ability to be mobile with travel
• AICLADiploma in Loss Adjusting or qualifications attained through ANZIIF
• Thorough knowledge of commercial and residential construction industries
• Knowledge of property claims law and jurisdictional issues
