Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking an experienced Loss Adjuster to join the MCL Property team in Brisbane. You will resolve insurance claims, determine loss details, and coordinate remediation with experts. The role reports to the Head of MCL - Property and emphasizes quality service to insurers, customers and brokers.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of loss adjusting experience and relevant ANZIIF/AICLA qualifications. A hybrid work arrangement and ongoing professional development are offered by Sedgwick.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years insurance loss adjusting experience or equivalent
• ANZIIF or AICLA qualification desirable
• AQF Certificate IV in related field preferred

We are currently looking for an experienced Loss Adjuster to join the MCL Property team based in Brisbane. Reporting to the Head of MCL - Property, this role will see you use your skills and knowledge to resolve insurance claims.

Accountabilities

• You will use your skills to resolve insurance claims and examine reported insurance losses to establish the cause, liability and quantum Proactive communication with the client and customer about initial findings and potential solutions Project manage the rectification, remediation or re-inatement of damaged property including emergency repairs with appropriate experts in a seamless and connected process Verify the nature and extent of loss/damage and quantity the work of reinstatement (material damage claims) You will provide coaching and mentoring to those more junior and still developing

About you

• Minimum 8 years insurance loss adjusting experience or AQF Certificate IV Relevant industry qualifications, particularly ANZIIF or AICLA or equivalent Knowledge and understanding of the principle and procedures for processing insurance claims Knowledge of claims regulations and legislations Experience working within the insurance industry on domestic and commercial losses Proven technical competency and a strong service delivery focus for clients, including insurers, customers and brokers
