Job summary

Cleared Recruitment is seeking a Supply Support Officer/Inventory Specialist to support MC CAT codification and cataloguing for DEFENCE items for the Australian Defence Force. You will access the Defence ERP (SAP) via the DPN and perform stocktaking, receipt/issue, and NSN requests.

Responsibilities include coordinating NSN submissions, maintaining ERP data, and liaising with Commonwealth reps on ERP processes.

Qualifications

• Experience using ERP systems MILIS and SAP for inventory and cataloguing tasks.
• Stocktaking and asset management within a Defence context.
• Proficient with MS Office tools for reporting and record-keeping.
• Excellent written and spoken English for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform Supply Support functions, including asset stocktaking per the Commonwealth plan.
• Ensure equipment on charge is used economically and for issued purpose.
• Maintain safe storage and serviceability; report unauthorised modifications.
• Receipt and issue items to/from SLOCs and raise freight requisitions (Form ST116).
• Liaise with Commonwealth reps regarding ERP functions and data integrity.
• Codification and cataloguing of IOS NSNs using MC CAT and ERP tools.
• Maintain ERP catalogue data and NCAGE code accuracy; support external purchase orders.

Job description

The Supply Support Officer/Inventory Specialist will perform tasks associated with Materiel Codification Catalogue (MC CAT) activities that support management, codification and cataloguing of CEA items of supply delivered to the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

The incumbent will require user access to the approved Defence Enterprise Resource (ERP) program (i.e. SAP) through the Defence Protected Network (DPN).

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform ‘Supply Support functions, including:
• Asset stocktaking activities in accordance with the Commonwealth stocktaking plan
• Ensuring equipment on charge is used with due economy and for the purpose for which it was issued
• Ensuring equipment is suitably and safely stored, is in a serviceable condition and has not been subject to unauthorised modification
• Ensuring equipment on temporary issue (loan) are returned by due date and equipment is inspected, with defects and deficiencies reported for rectification action
• Receipting and issuing items to and from SLOCs
• Raising movement requisition orders for freight (Form ST116)
• Liaising with Commonwealth representatives wrt ERP functions

Perform Codification and Cataloguing functions, including:

• Coordinating codification and cataloguing of new of modified CEA Items of Supply (IOS) identified in project Codification Data CDRLs
• Submitting requests for new NATO Stock Numbers (NSN) to the National Codification Bureau (NCB) using the Materiel Codification Catalogue (MC CAT) tool available on the DPN
• Performing cataloguing functions using ERP available on the DPN
• Maintaining ERP Global Catalogue management data for CEA associated NSNs
• Ensuring manufacturer / supplier NATO Commercial and Government Entity (NCAGE) Code details are correct and up to date
• Liaising with Commonwealth representatives to provide information that will assist in establishing ERP inventory records including External Purchase Orders (EPO)
• Basic to intermediate level of competency with Defence ERP programs (i.e. MILIS / SAP)
• Basic to intermediate level of competency with MS Office programs
• Ability to speak, present and write fluently in English for a diverse audience
• High levels of attention to detail
• Australian Defence Force (ADF) logistics experience (commercial or uniform)
