Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Supply Support Officer to support the Defence acquisition capability in Canberra. You will work within a multidisciplinary Integrated Logistics Support environment to forecast demand, optimise stock and ensure spares availability for ongoing operations.

This role requires practical experience in Defence supply support and proficiency with provisioning, codification and logistics data. You will engage with OEMs, engineers and Defence stakeholders to resolve supply issues and

Qualifications

• Qualifications in logistics, supply-chain management, engineering or a related discipline are desirable.
• Experience in Defence supply support, provisioning, codification or logistics support analysis.
• Experience developing provisioning lists, spares recommendations or supply support documentation.
• Understanding of the relationship between reliability, maintenance requirements, spares demand and operational availability.
• Experience maintaining logistics, catalogue or codification data within Defence systems.
• Ability to interpret technical, engineering and maintenance information.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supply support analysis to determine initial provisioning, spares quantities and inventory requirements.
• Analyse reliability, maintenance and usage data to forecast demand and optimise stock levels.
• Develop supply support plans, provisioning lists and supportability reports.
• Undertake item identification, classification, codification and registration activities, including National Stock Number processing.
• Maintain accurate supply, logistics and catalogue data in accordance with Defence requirements.
• Work with RAM engineers and maintenance planners to align spares requirements with predicted failure rates and maintenance activities.
• Develop supply support solutions for deployed operations, including remote and austere environments.
• Engage with Original Equipment Manufacturers, engineers, suppliers and Defence stakeholders to obtain technical information and resolve supply issues.
• Identify and manage supply risks, including obsolescence, long lead-time items and supply-chain disruptions.
• Support logistics reviews and provide supply support input to engineering, maintenance and capability acceptance activities.
• Recommend improvements to supply arrangements that increase fleet availability and operational readiness.

Supply Support Officer

We are seeking an experienced Supply Support Officer to support the delivery of a critical Defence acquisition capability.

Working within a multidisciplinary Integrated Logistics Support environment, you will undertake supply support analysis and develop the provisioning, inventory and logistics information required to support capability introduction and ongoing operations.

The role will work closely with engineering, maintenance, logistics and project teams to ensure spare parts and support items are identified, codified and available when required. You will use reliability, maintenance and usage information to forecast demand, optimise stock levels and support fleet availability.
