Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking an Operations Specialist to support cross-functional activities at our Melbourne or Sydney station. You will manage customer inquiries, monitor shipments, and provide weekly transit updates, while collaborating with internal teams and transport providers to meet service targets.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and logistics coordination experience, with flexibility to support after-hours desk duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a logistics or operations-support role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customers’ inbox, responding to client inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Monitor global shipments and in-transit movements daily, providing updates to stakeholders.
• Provide weekly in-transit reports to the customer.
• Administer the purchase order system, handling user requests and updates.
• Collaborate with internal teams and transport providers to meet delivery targets.
• Provide after-hours support and back-up to the Control Tower when required.
