FedEx Canberra station is seeking an energetic Operations Supervisor to lead the local Operations team, oversee daily fleet execution, and drive operational excellence. Reporting to Deputy Operations Manager, you will manage a diverse mix of direct staff, contracted couriers and vendors, coaching them in a fast-paced logistics environment while ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role emphasizes change leadership, strong communication with stakeholders, and the delivery of performance insights

Qualifications

Proven leadership of frontline teams and accountability.
Background in transport, courier, logistics, or fleet ops.
Safety-focused with regular safety/toolbox briefings.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
Experience supervising mixed direct staff, agency labour, and contractors.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and coach frontline couriers and support staff to raise performance.
Conduct daily Safety & Toolbox Talks ensuring CoR compliance.
Oversee daily fleet runs, dispatch, and turnaround times, resolve bottlenecks.
Manage vendors, contractors, and agency labour to meet SLAs.
Drive change and agility in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Collaborate with Deputy Ops Manager, dock operations, and customer service.
Generate daily reports and track KPIs to present insights.
