Zusammenfassung

MediRecruit is seeking a Physiotherapist for a short end-of-year locum placement in Residential Aged Care in the Wide Bay region, QLD. The contract runs from 29 to 31 December 2026, with accommodation provided and flexible hours.

You will assess residents, develop care plans, and support staff with falls prevention and mobility equipment guidance. Essential qualifications include a degree in Physiotherapy and full AHPRA registration, with preferred experience in aged care.

Qualifikationen

• Tertiary degree in Physiotherapy (essential)
• Full AHPRA registration (essential)
• Aged care or residential care experience (preferred)
• Current driver's licence (essential)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Police Check, or willing to obtain
• Current flu and COVID vaccination evidence
• Medicare Provider Number, or willing to obtain
• Eligible to work permanently in Australia

Aufgaben

• Assess and treat residents with chronic conditions and musculoskeletal injuries and develop management plans
• Complete initial assessments to guide care planning and interventions
• Carry out manual handling and functional capacity assessments to support safe care
• Implement falls prevention strategies and educate residents and staff on risk management
• Prescribe mobility aids and clinical equipment to suit individual needs
• Prepare clinical and community referrals for further medical or allied health support
