Job summary

United Physiotherapy Group is seeking a Physiotherapist to join our Residential Aged Care Services team in Cairns and surrounds. This locum role offers either a permanent full-time or part-time basis, with a focus on delivering high-quality clinical care and improving residents’ quality of life.

The successful candidate will have aged care experience, AHPRA registration, and a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent (and APA recognised).
AHPRA General Registration is essential.
Clinical skills to perform assessments, treatment and risk assessments.
Eligible to work in Australia; NDIS/WWCC checks may be required.

Responsibilities

Completing comprehensive assessments and delivering treatment to residents.
Liaising with residents, families, nursing and allied health teams to tailor care plans.
Leading and reviewing exercise prescriptions and group sessions.
Delivering falls prevention and staff education; participating in professional development.
Opportunities to work across multiple settings within Residential Care and community services.
