Job summary
Aurizon Bulk Operations seeks a qualified Locomotive Driver for the Cloncurry depot. You will operate locomotives across mainline, shunting and yard tasks, certify trains for departure and apply best practice train management to ensure safety and efficiency.
The role requires a Certificate IV in Rail Operations, familiarity with Qld Safeworking Systems, a valid unrestricted licence, and flexibility to work a 24/7 roster including weekends. Aurizon values safety and a diverse, inclusive workplace.
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Rail Operations (Mandatory)
- Experience with Queensland Safeworking Systems
- Current unrestricted driving licence
- Strong commitment to safety
- Ability to work a 24/7 shift roster including weekends
- Willingness to work book offs as rostered
- Commitment to Aurizon values and a diverse environment
Responsibilities
- Operate locomotives including mainline, shunting and yard operations.
- Examine and certify trains as ready for departure.
- Apply best practice train management techniques for safe operations.
- Follow Aurizon safety and operational standards and procedures.
- Contribute to continuous performance improvement.
- Work in line with Aurizon awards and industrial agreements.
