Job summary

Otis Elevator Co. in Lismore is seeking an experienced Local Representative (Field Operations - Service) to join our team.

This permanent, field-based role reports to the Service Manager and will manage service operations within the approved area, including call-outs, preventative maintenance, repairs and customer support. You will work closely with customers, subcontractors and internal teams to deliver safe, reliable service outcomes while supporting business growth.

Qualifications

• Current Queensland Electrical license and a valid driver’s license.
• Trade qualifications as Electrician, Fitter or Mechanic with electronics experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues quickly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete repair works within your allocated area.
• Manage customer and subcontractor requirements to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Reduce call-outs through proactive maintenance planning and delivery.
• Manage routine maintenance schedules to meet contractual obligations and performance targets.
• Support repair sales and business growth opportunities within your area.
• Order parts, raise purchase orders and manage receipt of equipment.

About You

We are seeking an experienced Local Representative (Field Operations - Service) to join our team in Lismore. This is a permanent, field-based position reporting to the Service Manager.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing service operations within your allocated area, including call-outs, preventative maintenance, repairs and customer support.

You will work closely with customers, subcontractors and internal teams to deliver safe, reliable and high-quality service outcomes, while also supporting business growth opportunities where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete repair works within your allocated area.


• Manage customer and subcontractor requirements to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.


• Reduce call-outs through proactive maintenance planning and delivery.


• Manage routine maintenance schedules to meet contractual obligations and performance targets.


• Support repair sales and business growth opportunities within your area.


• Order parts, raise purchase orders and manage receipt of equipment as required.


• Minimize equipment downtime through effective planning and proactive parts management.


• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.


• Conduct field audits and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.


• Respond promptly to customer enquiries and service requests.


• Attend customer meetings and provide technical advice when required.


• Support consultants with site inspections, tender walkthroughs and technical reporting.


• Assist Sales teams with service Repairs, Modernization projects and New Equipment opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will have

• A current Queensland Electrical license and driver's license with a good driving history.


• Trade qualifications as an Electrician, Fitter or Mechanic, with electronics experience is preferred


• Able to perform technical troubleshooting and problem-solving with ease


• Sound IT skills and experience using digital systems and reporting tools.


• Possess commercial awareness and the ability to identify customer opportunities.


• Good written and verbal communication skills.


• Experience managing work activities from planning through to completion.


• Enjoy relationship-building, influencing and is committed to safety.


• Can work well in a team or with minimum supervision
