Job summary

Randstad Australia is seeking a reliable Front-End Loader Operator for a busy concrete batching facility in Townsville, QLD. Casual contract with full-time hours and OT, early starts from 3:00–4:00 AM, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays.

You will operate a front-end loader, feed materials into mixers, perform general labour, maintain a clean, safe site and complete pre-start checks. Applicants should have loader experience, relevant tickets, and pass medical including drug/alcohol and

Job Description

Position: Front-End Loader Operator Location: Townsville, QLD Employment Type: Casual contract labour hire- full time hours + OT We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Loader Operator to join our busy local concrete batching facility in Townsville. In this role, you will be crucial to our daily operations, ensuring materials are consistently fed for batching while helping maintain a clean and safe plant environment.

Key Responsibilities: Operate a front-end loader to safely and efficiently load raw materials into mixers for concrete batching. Perform general manual labouring duties across the facility as required.

Maintain site cleanliness and environmental compliance, including hosing down the yard and clearing debris. Work safely in a high-traffic environment, navigating around other heavy vehicles, trucks, and ground personnel. Conduct pre-start checks on machinery and report any maintenance issues.

Working Hours: Early Starts: Shifts commence at 3:00 AM or 4:00 AM. Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday.

Overtime/Weekends: Occasional Saturday work is required based on operational demands.

Candidate Requirements: Demonstrated experience operating front-end loaders, preferably within a construction, quarry, or batching plant environment.

Relevant machinery tickets or statements of attainment. High level of situational awareness and a strong commitment to workplace health and safety. Physical fitness and willingness to undertake manual labour and yard maintenance duties.

Medical Clearance: Must be able to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical assessment, which strictly includes a Drug & Alcohol screen and Silica testing.
