Job summary

Rindean Quarry Pty Ltd on the Central Coast, NSW, seeks an experienced Loader/Excavator operator who is mechanically minded to oversee the sand wash plant. The role involves operating loaders and excavators, loading trucks, and supervising quarry operations to maintain production and safety.

Hours are Monday to Friday 6:30am–5pm, with Saturday 7am–1pm as needed. Negotiable salary based on experience and capabilities; full-time, long-term position on-site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate best practices of the site assets to optimise production.
• Ensure day-to-day quarry operations operate successfully.
• Manage and maintain company policies, process plans and procedures.
• Take initiative in quarry operations and activities direction.
• Supervise activities at the quarry.
• Apply knowledge to manage work health and safety risks.
• Maintain equipment and mechanical knowledge.
• Operate excavators and loaders, feeding the sand wash plant.
• Oversee sand screeners and wash plant operations.
• Load trucks and organise dockets.

Loader/ Excavator Mechanically Minded Operator

Rindean Quarry Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced loader and excavator operator and someone to oversee the sand wash plant. The quarry is located at Somersby on the Central Coast. The right applicant will have relevant experience operating machinery, being mechanically minded and able to load trucks with our quarry materials.

This is a full time, long-term position with a negotiable salary.

Hours of operation:

• Monday - Friday: 6:30am - 5pm
• Saturday: 7am - 1pm (As needed)

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Coordinate best practices of the sites assets to optimise production
• Ensure the day to day operations of the quarry operate successfully
• Manage and maintain company policies, process plans and operational procedures
• Take initiative in direction of quarry operations and activities
• Supervise activities undertaken at the quarry
• Source and apply current knowledge in the management of work health and safety risks that are relevant to mining operation
• Maintenance of equipment and mechanical knowledge
• Operate excavators and loaders, feeding the sand wash plant
• Oversee the running of the sand screeners and wash plant
• Loading all trucks out of the quarry and completing/ organising dockets

Required experience:

• Excavator and loader ticket
• White card
• Good communication and team work skills
• Must be honest, reliable, efficient, proactive and have a good work ethic
