Redpath Australia is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to join Federation Mine in New South Wales. You will safely operate underground LHD equipment to support mine development and production activities on a long-term project for a respected mining contractor.

This role requires a strong safety focus, ability to work 12-hour shifts in remote locations, and the ability to follow procedures with high accuracy.

Qualifications

• Underground LHD operation experience.
• Experience with shotcrete equipment (Jacon/Normet).
• Current underground inductions (G1/G2/G8) preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid manual driver's licence.
• Strong safety and compliance focus in underground mining.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Good communication and procedural adherence.
• Physically capable of 12-hour shifts in remote locations.
• Motivated, reliable and committed to high-quality work.

Redpath Australia is seeking experienced Loader Operator to join our operations at the Federation Mine in New South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a long-term project with a respected mining contractor while contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of underground mine development activities.

About the Role

As a Loader Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of underground load haul dump (LHD) equipment to support mine development and production activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate underground loaders (LHDs) safely and efficiently
• Muck development and production headings
• Transport and manage ore and waste material underground
• Conduct pre-start inspections and equipment checks
• Maintain production targets while adhering to safety standards
• Identify and report hazards, incidents and equipment defects
• Work collaboratively with mining crews and supervisors
• Maintain high housekeeping and operational standards0

About You

• Previous underground shotcrete experience operating Jacon, Normet Spraymec, or similar equipment.
• Experience operating agitator trucks, batch plants, and related underground mining machinery.
• Current G1/G2/G8 or equivalent underground mining inductions (highly regarded).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid Manual Driver's Licence.
• Strong focus on safety and compliance within underground mining environments.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Physically capable of meeting the demands of an underground mining role, including 12-hour shifts in remote locations.
• Motivated, reliable, and committed to continuous improvement and high-quality work standards.
