Hastings Deering is recruiting a Load Coordinator for our Automation Parts Fulfilment Centre in Mackay. You will coordinate outbound freight, optimise load planning and liaise with warehouse and transport teams to ensure timely dispatch and accurate orders.

The role focuses on safe, efficient operations within a modern automated environment, offering a permanent Monday–Friday roster and career development opportunities within a global Caterpillar dealership network.

Qualifications

• Bring logistics experience in warehousing, freight coordination, dispatch, transport or supply chain operations.
• Stay organised under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Think ahead to anticipate challenges and proactively identify solutions to keep freight moving.
• Focus on accuracy when coordinating loads, documentation and customer orders.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, transport providers and stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively to support team performance and responsibilities.
• Put safety first and maintain commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
• Demonstrate systems capability with WMS/TMS or ERP platforms.
• Hold relevant licences and certifications; forklift licence is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outbound freight movements to consolidate, stage and dispatch orders accurately and on time.
• Optimise load planning to maximise transport efficiency.
• Liaise with warehouse teams, carriers and stakeholders to manage daily dispatch requirements.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by verifying shipments, documentation and freight allocations.
• Monitor operational priorities and adapt to changing customer requirements.
• Support transport partners by coordinating vehicle movements and loading activities.
• Drive safety and compliance in loading and freight activities.
• Use warehouse management and dispatch systems to monitor workflow and performance.
• Identify and resolve freight, scheduling or dispatch issues before they impact customers.
