Qualifications

• Experience in livestock handling and sale yard processes.
• Commitment to animal welfare and safe work practices in a sale yard.
• Current State Drivers License.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Firearms License.
• Humane destruction of animals.
• Low-stress stock handling.
• Able to perform manual activities and meet physical demands.
• Team-oriented with respectful communication.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic livestock industry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate movement of livestock within the facility.
• Manage both Prime and Store cattle deliveries.
• Undertake the feeding of livestock.
• Assist in sale day activities, including pre-sale scanning, post-sale weighing, and delivery for cattle sales.
• Reconcile animals sold and delivered.
• Assist with accounting and administration of sale day activities as required.
• Coordinate, organise and complete general cleaning and maintenance of the site, with a focus on weekly cleaning of cattle and sheep facilities.
• Comply with and conduct regular animal welfare checks.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Livestock Manager.
