Bayside Health is seeking a permanent part-time Consumer Peer Worker to provide peer support and practical assistance to service users. This role will help promote choice, hope and social participation within a multidisciplinary team, with duties across the Lilac Pod and related units.

The successful candidate will have lived experience of mental health challenges, a current Victorian Driver’s Licence and a Working With Children Check, plus relevant peer-support experience and training where

• Lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery.
• 12 months lived experience or peer worker role desirable.
• Experience with public/private mental health system.
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
• A satisfactory Working With Children Check.

Responsabilidades

• Provide formalised peer support and practical assistance to service users.
• Promote choice, self-determination, hope and opportunities to seek or maintain social roles.
• Work primarily from the Lilac Pod and across the unit, including Hospital in the Home Team.
• Offer a recovery-oriented perspective different from mainstream clinical delivery.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support recovery.
