Job summary

Discovery Resorts - Undara, a G'day Group property, seeks an Operations Manager for a live-in leadership role in Tropical North Queensland. You will oversee multiple departments and lead a team through diverse guest experiences while driving operational excellence in a remote setting.

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll manage day-to-day operations, ensure safety and compliance, and partner with senior leaders to optimize guest satisfaction and commercial results.

Qualifications

• Senior hospitality leadership experience in resort or accommodation.
• Experience managing budgets, labour costs, forecasting and commercial performance.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and develop leaders.
• Experience using RMS or similar property management systems.
• Current driver's licence; RSA and RMLV certifications; MR/HR licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor up to 50 team members during peak season.
• Oversee daily operations across departments to maintain standards.
• Collaborate with Activity, Reservations, Head Chef and Housekeeping leaders.
• Support and guide the F&B operation to ensure guest experiences and profitability.
• Ensure facilities, infrastructure and grounds are maintained to a high standard.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and achievement of departmental targets.
