Job summary

G'day Group is seeking an Operations Manager for Discovery Resorts - Undara in tropical North Queensland. This live-in leadership role places you at the centre of a diverse tourism business, overseeing daily operations across accommodation, food & beverage, guest experiences and property management.

You will lead a large team, drive guest satisfaction, ensure safety and compliance, and collaborate with senior leaders to deliver exceptional experiences and commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven senior leadership in hospitality or tourism management.
• Strong operational management across multiple departments.
• Experience leading large teams and developing leaders.
• Ability to manage budgets, labour costs, forecasting and performance.
• Experience using RMS or similar property management systems.
• Must hold a valid driver’s licence.
• RSA certification (or ability to obtain).
• RMLV certification (or ability to obtain).
• MR or HR licence highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor up to 50 team members during peak season, ensuring safety and operational excellence.
• Oversee day-to-day operations across departments and maintain standards.
• Coordinate with Activity, Reservations, Head Chef and Housekeeping leaders for seamless delivery.
• Guide F&B operations to ensure guest experiences and profitability.
• Maintain facilities, equipment and grounds to high standards and asset performance.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and achievement of financial targets.
