Job summary

The University of Sydney's Seymour Centre invites an experienced Food and Beverage Manager to lead all bars, catering and event hospitality, delivering outstanding customer experiences.

This hands-on, full-time role balances strategic oversight with daily leadership, guiding supplier partnerships, budgeting, stock control and a high-performing team, while maintaining a 38-hour week and one work-from-home admin day per week.

Qualifications

• In-depth hospitality management experience, ideally in arts or live events.
• Proven leadership of large teams delivering high service standards.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and profitability focus.
• Excellent relationships with suppliers, clients and colleagues.
• Experience with stock control, cash handling and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of food and beverage outlets and events.
• Manage supplier relationships, contracts and menu development.
• Build and mentor a high-performing hospitality team.
• Drive commercial success through budgets, pricing and stock control.
• Oversee catering for performances and venues, ensuring client satisfaction.
• Ensure WHS and RSA compliance and continuous improvement.
