Victoria Police Air Wing seeks a highly skilled Line Pilot to operate AW139 helicopters across a range of tasks including Search and Rescue, tactical deployment, surveillance and general policing support. The role requires extensive turbine flight hours, night vision capabilities, and the ability to perform winching and fast-roping operations.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated aviation team at Essendon Airfield, with shifts of 10-12 hours and a strong emphasis on safety, training,

Competenze

• Current Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence.
• Command Multi Engine (Helicopter) and Instrument rating.
• NVFR rating and LL rating.
• Desirable: Winch and Rappel endorsement.
• AW139 type rating and experience.

Mansioni

• Participate in winching, fast roping/rappelling airdrops and airborne operations.
• Perform NVG and NVIS flight operations as part of tactical police support.

The helicopters are fully NVG equipped and are fitted with advanced equipment including; Fastrope devices, winch, FLIR, and a downlink. As a pilot you will participate in winching, fast roping/rappelling, airborne sniper operations, NVG operations and a wide range of tactical police operations. The Victoria Police Air Wing is based at Essendon Airfield in a large modern complex.Air Wing operates under CASA fatigue management conditions. Rostering includes 10 and 12 hour shifts. 12 hour shifts involve two day shifts followed by two night shifts. 10 hour shifts involve an average of 80 hours per fortnight with 6 rostered rest days.What we can offer you:Victoria Police are seeking to fill a line pilot position with competitive salary and benefits, and welcome applications from across Australia and internationally.
