Job summary

Uniting Lillian Wells in North Parramatta is seeking a casual Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, person-centred care for residents living with dementia. You will work weekdays and apply your clinical skills in a supportive team.

You will lead care planning, perform assessments, and liaise with families and medical staff while guiding junior workers. New graduates and transitions are encouraged to apply, with ongoing clinical training and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with AHPRA registration required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and time-management abilities.
• Calm, compassionate, resilient nurse who builds trust with residents living with dementia.
• Experience in aged or dementia care is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
• Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans.
• Conduct clinical assessments and lead clinical decision-making.
• Build strong relationships with residents and their families.
• Liaise with medical and allied health professionals and supervise Personal Care Workers.
• Practice holistically while guiding and supporting the care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Committed to delivering person-centred care that preserves dignity, independence and quality of life
• Able to adapt to changing situations and support residents with complex physical, cognitive and behavioural needs
• Experience in aged care or dementia care is desirable but not essential
• New graduates and nurses transitioning from other healthcare settings are encouraged to apply
