Job summary

Apprenticeships Are Us in Artarmon, NSW is seeking a motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join a host automotive workshop. You’ll earn while you learn and begin a Nationally Recognised Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

No prior automotive experience is required. You’ll gain hands-on experience servicing, diagnosing and maintaining light vehicles, with mentoring from experienced technicians in a modern workshop environment.

is seeking a motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join one of our established host employers in Artarmon, NSW.

This is a great opportunity to start your apprenticeship in a professional automotive workshop, where you'll work alongside experienced technicians, gain hands-on experience with real vehicles and develop the practical skills needed to become a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic.

You’ll earn while you learn and complete your AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, building experience across vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, diagnostics and preventative maintenance.

No previous automotive experience is required. If you’re passionate about cars, mechanically minded and ready to learn, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working alongside qualified technicians, you’ll develop hands-on skills in:

• Carrying out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.
• Assisting with the diagnosis and repair of mechanical faults.
• Inspecting and repairing braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Assisting with engine and drivetrain repairs.
• Replacing worn or damaged mechanical components.
• Carrying out vehicle inspections and safety checks.Learning to use modern diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
• Checking and replacing fluids, filters and other service components.
• Following manufacturer specifications and repair procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.

As your skills and confidence develop, you’ll gradually take on more complex servicing, diagnostic and repair work under the guidance of experienced technicians.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and genuinely interested in building a career in automotive.

No experience? No problem. Previous workshop experience or a Certificate II is not required. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, genuine interest in the trade and commitment to completing their apprenticeship.
