Job summary

Auswide Automotive Solutions is seeking a motivated 1st Year Automotive Apprentice (Light Vehicle Mechanic) to join the team. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians who will mentor you while you learn the trade.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of mechanical repairs while developing the skills needed to become a qualified Automotive Technician. This full-time apprenticeship offers a structured training path and long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in the automotive industry.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Current driver’s licence (preferred but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with vehicle repairs.
• Help diagnose basic mechanical issues under supervision.
• Assist with dismantling and fitting mechanical and suspension parts.
• Support workshop tasks including vehicle inspections and quality checks.
• Assist with wheel alignments.
• Ensure tools and work areas are kept clean and organised.
• Label and store parts correctly.
• Check new parts for accuracy and damage.
