Job summary

Aeris Resources is seeking a passionate Light Vehicle Fitter for Cracow Gold Operations in central Queensland. You’ll work on mobile plant and heavy mining equipment, perform inspections, diagnose faults, and carry out routine maintenance to keep fleets running.

This permanent full‑time role requires a trade qualification as LV Mechanic, air‑conditioning qualification, HR or equivalent licences, and demonstrated diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.
• Air-conditioning servicing qualification and refrigerant handling license.
• High Risk Work Licences (Forklift, EWP, Dogging or Rigging) – highly regarded.
• Manual C Class Drivers Licence; HR Licence advantageous.
• Strong diagnostic skills for planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Ability to complete assigned work without direct supervision.
• Solid experience maintaining light vehicles, mobile equipment or mining equipment.

We’ve got the rocks covered but we’re looking for one more incredible person to join the team based our Cracow Gold Operations as an LV Fitter.

The Nitty Gritty

Be the driving force behind reliable, high-performing machinery. In this role, you’ll get hands‑on with mobile plant and equipment—inspecting engines, diagnosing and fixing faults, carrying out routine maintenance, and stripping down and rebuilding critical components to keep everything running smoothly.

What You Bring

• Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent recognised mechanical trade.
• Air-conditioning servicing qualification & Air-Con refrigerant handling license
• High Risk Work Licences (Forklift, EWP, Dogging or Rigging). (Highly Regarded)
• Manual C Class Drivers Licence
• HR Driver's Licence (Highly Regarded)
• Strong diagnostic skills allowing for planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance o be completed in timely manner.
• Ability to complete assigned work without direct supervision
• Solid experience maintaining light vehicles, mobile equipment or mining equipment in a heavy industrial environment
