Job summary

Aeris Resources Limited's Cracow Gold Operations in Queensland is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Fitter to join our underground mining fleet team. You will perform repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance on loaders, haul trucks, graders, drills and support equipment to ensure peak fleet performance.

This role requires a Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent), hands-on hydraulics, air-conditioning accreditation, a C‑class licence, and a strong safety and quality

Qualifications

• Trade qualification and heavy vehicle experience.
• Air-conditioning accreditation is highly regarded.
• Manual C Class Licence required.
• Proven fault-finding and diagnostics in hydraulic systems.
• Underground mining experience preferred.
• Commitment to high workmanship standards and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs, services and preventative maintenance on the fleet.
• Work on loaders, haul trucks, graders, drills and ancillary equipment.
• Perform diagnostics and fault-finding in underground and workshop environments.
• Maintain fleet performance and reliability.

We’ve got the rocks covered but we’re looking for one more incredible person to join our team at Cracow Gold Operation as a Heavy Vehicle Fitter.

The Nitty Gritty

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in carrying out repairs, services, and preventative maintenance on our fleet of heavy mobile equipment, including loaders, haul trucks, graders, drills, charge up Rigs and ancillary machinery across the minesite, ensuring optimum performance and reliability.

You’ll combine hands‑on mechanical & hydraulic diagnostic expertise, scheduled preventative maintenance and a commitment to consistent, high-standard workmanship in both underground and workshop environments to ensure our fleet continues to perform at its best.

What You Bring

• Trade qualification - Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent:
• Demonstrated experience working on heavy machinery in underground mining industry or a similar field
• Air-conditioning accreditation and experience (highly regarded)
• Manual 'C Class' Drivers Licence as a minimum
• Demonstrated experience working on Hydraulics
• Well-developed fault-finding diagnostic skills
• High standard of work quality & safe working practices
• Self-motivated, team player who thrives in challenging environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills,
• Excellent time management skills,
