Job summary

Going Up is expanding its Sydney installation team and seeks Lift Installation Technicians with strong electrical or mechanical trade experience to join us on full-time projects across Sydney.

You will install, wire and commission lift systems, work with experienced technicians, and contribute to safe, high-quality installations. We offer on-the-job training, overtime opportunities, and a stable career in the vertical transport industry.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified or experienced in electrical, mechanical or construction work.
• Mechanically or electrically minded, with a strong interest in technical, hands-on work.

• Lift or elevator experience is highly regarded but not essential; training is provided.

Lift Installation Technician - Electrical and Mechanical Trades

The Company
Going Up is one of Australia's largest independent, Australian-owned elevator companies — proudly manufacturing, installing, servicing and modernising lifts along the east coast.

With a strong pipeline of projects and a great team culture, we're expanding our Sydney installation team and looking for people with strong electrical or mechanical trade experience to join us as Lift Installation Technicians. We welcome applications from experienced Lift Installers, qualified tradespeople and later-stage electrical apprentices looking to build a specialised, long-term career in the lift industry.

Our worksites are located across Sydney, with our office based in Brookvale.

About the Role

As a Lift Installation Technician, you'll be involved in the full installation process — assembling, wiring and fitting out new lift systems from start to finish. You'll work alongside experienced technicians, developing specialised skills and experience within a stable and rewarding industry.

Key Responsibilities

Install, align and commission lift and elevator equipment.

Manage materials and tools on site.

Work closely with team leaders, supervisors and builders.

Maintain a clean, safe and efficient work environment.
