Apollo Care Alliance's Yaralla Place in Maryborough is seeking a dedicated Lifestyle Officer to craft meaningful activities and foster a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere for residents. This part-time role emphasizes person-centred care, collaboration with staff, and compliance with quality standards.

You will tailor programs to individual interests, support families, and contribute to holistic care within a 96-bed home that reflects a home-like environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Lifestyle Officer and/or aged care.
• Certificate III or IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or Diversional Therapy.
• Certificate III in Aged Care (highly desirable).
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• NDIS Worker Clearance (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement individual and group leisure activities that cater to residents' needs, abilities, and interests.
• Develop and maintain personalized lifestyle care plans.
• Engage with residents and their families to create a sense of belonging and inclusion.
• Collaborate with the Lifestyle Team and care staff to support the holistic well-being of residents.
• Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Maintain secure and accurate care records.

Yaralla Place:

Our Yaralla Place community is set in the heart of our well preserved colonial architectural town of Maryborough. Our 96 bed home is divided into smaller households that mirror the look and rhythm of home with vast communal areas where our residents can enjoy their own homestyle lounge, dining and kitchen areas with a private backyard for their established gardens and veggie patches.

The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Lifestyle Officer to join our team. If you are passionate about a person-centred approach to care, this is your opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

The position is part-time, offering 60 hours per fortnight.

As a Lifestyle Officer, you will be at the heart of creating joy and connection, designing and delivering meaningful activities that bring smiles, laughter, and a sense of community. Every day is unique, allowing you to tailor programs to individual interests and care plans, while fostering a warm, inclusive environment that reflects Apollo Care’s commitment to holistic, resident‑centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Certificate III or IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or Diversional Therapy Qualification
• Certificate III in Aged Care (highly desirable)
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Currently hold an NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain)
