Job summary

Churches of Christ Residential Aged Care in Warwick, QLD is seeking an Activities Officer on a permanent part-time basis. You will plan and deliver lifestyle and wellbeing programs to promote social connection, independence and enjoyment for residents.

You will work closely with residents and staff to encourage participation, foster wellbeing, and maintain quality of life, using your communication and compassionate approach.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting lifestyle, leisure, wellbeing or recreational programs, preferably within aged care or community services.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents.
• Certificate III in Individual Support is required.
• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health is desirable.
• First Aid and CPR certification are desirable.
• Currently holds, or willing to obtain a current Police Check.
• Basic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Outlook and online systems.
• Hold valid Australian work rights – unfortunately sponsorship is not available.

About the Role:

In this rewarding role, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of engaging lifestyle and wellbeing programs that promote social connection, independence and enjoyment for our residents. You will also play an active role in encouraging and assisting residents to participate in activities that enhance their wellbeing, independence and quality of life.

About You

You are a compassionate and skilled Activites Officer/Lifestyle Assistant who thrives in a collaborative, resident-focused environment. You bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a genuine passion for improving the lives of older Australians.

You will bring:

• Experience supporting lifestyle, leisure, wellbeing or recreational programs, preferably within aged care, community services, disability support or a similar environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents
• A Certificate III in Individual Support
• A Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (desirable)
• First Aid and CPR certification (desirable)
• Currently holds, or willing to obtain a current Police Check
• Basic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Outlook, online systems and electronic documentation.
• Hold valid Australian Work Rights –Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
