Job summary

Anglicare Southern Queensland – Toowoomba QLD is seeking a casual Lifestyle Assistant to support planning, delivery and evaluation of activities for clients, helping them stay independent and connected in their own homes.

The role includes driving responsibilities and requires First Aid/CPR, a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, and a current driver licence with a reliable vehicle. Fridays are mandatory with additional coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health is mandatory.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification required.
• National Police Certificate or NDIS Clearance/Yellow Card required.
• Current Driver Licence and own reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate lifestyle activities to improve residents' quality of life.
• Drive a 10-seater bus/van for client pickups and drop-offs in the Metro North Brisbane area.
• Communicate professionally with staff, management and clients in a friendly manner.
• Commit to ongoing quality improvement and professional development of the service.

Anglicare's Home and Community team provide support and services that enable our clients to maintain their independence - living happily and healthily within their own homes.

We have an opportunity for a casual Lifestyle Assistant to join our awesome team. Every Friday required too work, with additional days when required to cover annual/sick leave.

The Lifestyle Assistant's primary responsibility is to assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities and lifestyle programs that enable clients to participate in a variety of experiences to improve their quality of life. We are looking for an individual who has:

• Proven background in planning, conducting, and evaluating activity and diversional therapy programs
• Confidence in driving a 10 seater bus/van, with strong knowledge of Metro North Brisbane and surrounding areas for client pickups and drop-offs
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of people including staff, management and clients in a professional and friendly manner
• Commitment to ongoing quality improvement and professional development of the service and yourself
• Dedication to working within the Aged Care, Community and Disability sectors to improve and enhance the lives of clients
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and to manage your own workload

Mandatory qualifications/requirements:

• A Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• A current National Police Certificate OR NDIS Clearance/Yellow Card
• Current Driver Licence and your own reliable vehicle
