Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is seeking enthusiastic lifeguards for Winchelsea Swimming Pool, VIC, from October 2026 to March 2027. You will manage daily pool operations, ensure safety, and deliver excellent guest service in a busy community facility.

We value water safety, strong communication, and a friendly, energetic approach. Training is provided; certificates encouraged where possible, including First Aid and CPR.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required; training provided.
• Strong communication and customer service focus.
• OHS and public safety awareness.
• Willingness to obtain necessary certificates.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• National Police Check required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Day to Day Pool Operations ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Provide a safe, enjoyable environment for all patrons.
• Communicate effectively with a diverse range of ages and abilities.
• Support a positive team culture during peak season.

This is a great opportunity for qualified lifeguards who value water safety, love working with people, who want to keep the community safe in our facilities.

The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly individuals to join the lifeguard team for the upcoming peak season during October 2026 to March 2027. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the Day to Day Pool Operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will have a passion for safety, and should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

Skills & Attributes

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
• Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
• National Police Check
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate (desirable)
• Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded
• If you do not have these certificates, you must be willing to obtain.
