Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is expanding its Petria Thomas Swimming Pool team in Mullumbimby, NSW. Lifeguards will run day-to-day pool operations, ensuring safety and a welcoming environment for all patrons while delivering excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates are energetic, reliable and can communicate well with diverse ages. Holders of RLSSA Lifeguard Certificate, First Aid, CPR and a National Police Check are highly regarded; weekend availability is valued.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard Certificate (highly regarded).
• Current First Aid (Level 2) and CPR certification required or in progress where applicable.
• National Police Check is a must for candidate suitability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day pool operations to ensure safety and enjoyment for all patrons.
• Maintain water safety and public safety standards across pool areas.
• Communicate effectively with a diverse range of patrons and staff.

This is a great opportunity for qualified Lifeguards who value water safety andlove working with people,to provide leadership and coaching to our team.

The Role

We are currently taking expressions of interest for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly lifeguardsto join the team. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the Day to Day Pool Operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will have a passion for safetyaround the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensureour patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

Holding a VALID Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard Certificate is highly regarded and will help your application advance.

You commitment and flexibility to weekend, public holidays and increased hours during our peak operating seasons will be rewarded and recognised.

Skills & Attributes:

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
• Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
• National Police Check
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Working with Vulnerable People
• Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded
• Current Pool Operations Certificateis not essential but highly regarded
