Job summary

Belgravia Health and Leisure Group is seeking enthusiastic lifeguards for Whittlesea Swim Centre in Whittlesea, VIC. You will oversee day-to-day pool operations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons, with shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends.

This seasonal, casual role runs November to March each year. Applicants should value water safety, have strong communication skills, and be ready to commit to flexible hours during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of OHS and public safety applications.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate.
• National Police Check.
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
• Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded.
• Current Pool Operations Certificate is not essential but highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day pool operations to ensure safety and a positive environment.
• Maintain safety and enjoyment for all patrons
• Communicate effectively with a diverse range of ages and needs
• Support a flexible schedule including weekends and public holidays when required
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming and compliant facility team.

The Role

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly lifeguards to join the team. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the Day to Day Pool Operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will have a passion for safetyaround the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensureour patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

We have multiple casual positions available. You commitment and flexibility to weekend, public holidays and increased hours during our peak operating seasons will be rewarded and recognised. This is a seasonal pool which is open November to the end of March each year.
