Job summary

The Horsham Aquatic Centre, operated by YMCA Victoria, is seeking a Lifeguard to maintain a safe swimming environment for centre visitors. You will supervise the pool area, monitor patrons, and ensure safety procedures are followed, while providing friendly customer service.

This casual role offers a friendly team, flexible rostering, and access to YMCA facilities; wage is up to $34.96 per hour plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a large aquatic space to maintain a safe environment around the pool area.
• Maintain concentrated observation of pools and patrons to anticipate and respond to problems.
• Educate facility users about safe aquatic practices while enforcing facility rules.
• Carry out intervention and preventative actions to ensure safety and wellbeing of patrons and equipment.
