Job summary

Surf Life Saving NSW is seeking an experienced Western Sydney Lifeguard Supervisor to oversee safe and effective delivery of lifeguard services across the Greater Western Sydney Region. The role requires regular travel between service locations, weekend and holiday work, and a hands-on leadership approach.

You will report to the Aquatic Operations Coordinator, provide day-to-day leadership, mentor lifeguards, coordinate workforce readiness, and manage equipment and records, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Operational lifeguard experience and leadership background.
• Strong containment of risk and safety practices.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop lifeguards.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Clear communication with staff, council, and emergency services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily lifeguard operations across Western Sydney locations.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and SLSS/SLSNSW policies.
• Lead, mentor and develop lifeguards for performance and readiness.
• Coordinate staffing, inductions, and training sessions.
• Maintain records and liaise with management and external agencies.
• Support community water-safety initiatives and events.
