Job summary

Surf Life Saving Services seeks a Shoalhaven Lifeguard Supervisor to oversee lifeguard operations across the Shoalhaven Local Government Area and related locations. The role reports to the Operations Manager – Aquatic & Event Safety Services and provides day-to-day leadership, mentoring and operational guidance to Lifeguards.

You will coordinate staffing, training, equipment, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement to ensure the highest standards of service and safety across beaches

Qualifications

• Operational lifeguard or public safety experience.
• Strong people-management skills and the ability to lead a lifeguard team.
• Knowledge of beach operations, rescue and risk management.
• Professional communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily lifeguard operations across Shoalhaven locations.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, standards and SLSS/SLSNSW policies.
• Lead, mentor and develop lifeguards for performance and readiness.
• Coordinate inductions, training and ongoing professional development.
• Manage staffing, rosters and workforce communications.
• Liaise with Council representatives and emergency services.
• Maintain equipment and support incident reviews.
