Job summary

Macedon Ranges Shire Council is seeking casual Pool Lifeguards or Program Lifeguards to support aquatic supervision at the Macedon Ranges Aquatic Centre. You will assist Duty Managers in daily operations, support program delivery, and manage incidents while ensuring facilities are clean, secure and compliant with safety standards.

You will stay alert, act quickly under pressure, communicate clearly with patrons and colleagues, and apply water safety knowledge to protect swimmers.

• Vigilant, confident and customer‑focused with a passion for water safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities are clean, secure and well‑presented, meeting OH&S requirements.
• Resolve customer complaints and enforce water safety policies to the highest standard.
• Deliver first aid and aquatic rescues as required and assist with incident management.
• Assist Duty Managers with day‑to‑day operations and program delivery.

About the role

As a Pool Lifeguard or Program Lifeguard, you will play a key role in Aquatic Supervision at the Macedon Ranges Aquatic Centre's, assist Duty Managers in the day to day running of operations, program delivery, and incident management. You will ensure our facilities are clean, secure, well-presented, and meet occupational health and safety requirements. Your responsibilities will also include resolving customer complaints, enforcing our watch around water policy, and adhering to industry guidelines, and delivering a high standard of expertise in first aid and aquatic rescues.

About you

We’re looking for vigilant, confident, and customer-focused individuals who are passionate about water safety and working in a team environment. As a Lifeguard, you’ll need to stay alert, act quickly under pressure, and communicate clearly with patrons and colleagues.
